The 15th edition of ITECHMER will be held from Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 October 2023 at the Lorient Bretagne Sud Exhibition Center.
Supported by the local authorities and the fishing industry, ITECHMER aims to give a wide echo to the societal and environmental issues of the sector. Technological and scientific solutions, innovations and services offered by exhibitors, conference program: ITECHMER 2023 will be the perfect place to meet an industry that is building its future.
New challenges must be faced because of the energy crisis, the climate change emergency, and the need to preserve the oceans. The fishing industry must be transformed to continue to guarantee food sovereignty and the vitality of our marine and coastal territories. ITECHMER 2023 will fully play its role as a business exhibition and facilitator expected by a fishing industry undergoing a significant transition.
The involvement of its committee of experts, bringing together stakeholders from the industry, from fishermen to innovation partners, will contribute to the success of this anniversary edition, a real break in this milestone period for the industry.

The CNPMEM National Fisheries Committee; the UMF French Fish Trade Union; the Region of Brittany and the GIE Ports de Pêche de Bretagne; the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique; Bretagne Pôle Naval and the Interprofession of the Port of Lorient; the Pêche & Développement association; and Lorient Agglomération.
A related program to the tradeshow once again implemented for ITECHMER 2023
Hundreds of speakers have contributed to the success of previous editions by animating and taking part in conferences and professional meetings during the ITECHMER show.
Once again, the mobilization of the industry’s players as well as the sharing of expertise and experience will make the 2023 edition a meeting that meets the sector’s expectations.
The 2023 program will be held under the general guideline: ” Change the sea industry through innovation.”
Several topics are proposed in which conferences and professional meetings will be focused:
- Energy savings and decarbonization.
- Automation and port efficiency.
- Reducing the environmental impact of activities.
- Port governance and organization.
- Space planning and fish resource allocation.
- The future of fishing: vision and expectations of next generation professionals.
Professionals interested in speaking on these topics can already send their proposals.
Professional meetings
The Lorient Bretagne Sud Exhibition Centre is equipped with several meeting rooms (from 30 to 100 people) allowing to dedicate privileged spaces to professional meetings.
Organizations and companies, exhibitors or not, wishing to organize a workshop or a meeting, are invited to make a request.
