It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to join us at the Parc des Expositions in Lorient Bretagne Sud from 15 to 17 October 2025 for the 16th edition of the ITECHMER trade show. This year is particularly significant as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of this unmissable event, a longevity that testifies to its ability to support a resilient and promising fishing industry.
As part of the Year of the Sea and following the UNOC (United Nations Ocean Conference), where the industry collectively demonstrated its concrete commitments to ever more sustainable fishing, ITECHMER 2025 is fully in line with current trends. At the heart of the implementation of the European Pact for the Ocean and labelled ‘La Mer en Commun’ (The Sea in Common) by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forestry, Sea and Fisheries, our exhibition is more than ever positioned as the leading professional event in France, dedicated to technologies, equipment and services for the maritime sector.
ITECHMER is a powerful tool for the economic development of the region and the industry. It showcases an industry that is constantly evolving and, thanks to its role in food sovereignty and the vitality of our regions, faces many environmental and societal challenges (decarbonisation of fleets, transformation of port infrastructure, generational renewal). France, with the world’s second largest Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), and Brittany, the leading national fishing region, illustrate the richness and complexity of this sector. ITECHMER strives to capture and promote concrete examples of innovative solutions developed by fishermen, scientists and industrialists in order to collectively build a sustainable future and preserve the ocean, a common good of humanity.
As a technical exhibition showcasing innovations, materials, equipment and services for the industry, ITECHMER is above all an exhibition for fishermen from all maritime territories, even the most remote. We are proud to welcome delegations such as those from New Caledonia and Mayotte, demonstrating this inclusive scope.
That is why this anniversary edition has been given the unifying theme: ‘An industry committed to the sea’. It will guide our discussions and reflections across three key themed days, featuring high-profile figures and speakers:
- Wednesday 15 October 2025: ‘French fishing: diverse and sustainable’
- Thursday 16 October 2025: ‘Climate and transitions: the sea, a driver of innovation’
- Friday 17 October 2025: ‘Fisheries policy: what course for the future?’
We are particularly pleased with the renewed commitment of our committee of experts, who, alongside all the players in the sector, are working to enrich this programme. ITECHMER 2025 is an invitation to dialogue, to share expertise and to create synergies that are essential for the entire sector.
