Évènements, the event’s organizer, is giving all the maritime professionals a date to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ITECHMER.
The event’s ambition is to bring a breath of optimism and innovation to the fishing industry through its exhibition space and conference
program. With just over a year to go before the show opens its doors, the organizing committee is already hard at work preparing for this anniversary edition and launching registrations for exhibitors.
30 YEARS AT THE SIDE OF FISHERMEN AND A RESILIENT, FUTURE-ORIENTED INDUSTRY!
Supported by the region and the fishing industry since its creation in 1995, ITECHMER is the only French exhibition dedicated to technologies, equipment and services for the industry. Over the years, ITECHMER has established itself as France’s leading trade show for the fishing industry. From catching to processing, from shipbuilding to marketing, from R&D to training, from administration to ports… Professional organizations gather here, and international meetings are organized.
Based in Lorient, Brittany’s leading fishing port and a leading marketplace for seafood products, ITECHMER is a major event in the industry and a means of promoting regional economic development. Keeping pace with a constantly evolving industry, the event has always demonstrated its ability to promote maritime innovation, both through the technological and scientific solutions presented, and through its program of conferences and meetings. A promotional tool and showcase for the industry, ITECHMER attracts professionals, decision-makers and investors, and had welcomed 224 exhibitors and 5,347 visitors by 2023’s edition.
ITECHMER 2025, REVEALING THE FUTURE OF FRENCH FISHING IN 2040
Successive crises have highlighted the need to consider the specific characteristics of the French fishing industry, the diversity and complementarity of its activities, and its multi-species production offering consumers a wide choice. The know-how required to catch, produce, add value to and promote French seafood products, innovation and the ability to work together constitute a genuine French model of sustainable fishing for the future. That’s why ITECHMER 2025 aims to bring together all French fishermen, from mainland France and overseas territories, as well as all links in the industry, in Lorient during these three days of exchanges.
The fishing industry continues to face numerous environmental and societal challenges: fleet renewal and decarbonization, transformation of port infrastructures, generational renewal, food sovereignty and seafood consumption. ITECHMER 2025 will focus on collecting and promoting concrete examples of innovative solutions developed by fishermen, scientists and industrialists to build a sustainable future for the industry.
OPEN REGISTRATION AND EARLY BIRD RATE
ITECHMER 2025 is expecting more than 200 exhibitors covering over 7,000 m2 in the halls of the Parc des Expositions de Lorient Bretagne Sud, located in Lanester (France): shipyards; ports; engine manufacturers; suppliers and materials and equipment for catching, navigation or processing; start-ups; service companies… Professionals interested in the event can now register to reserve their exhibition space by contacting Gaëlle Nio, Marketing Manager, at gnio@lorient-evenements.bzh.
A preferential “early bird” rate will be applied to all bookings made before March 28, 2025.
